However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Appointments are for one person only.

We aim to see you within 30 minutes of your appointment time. However, delays can occur, and we appreciate your patience if this happens.

Routine appointments are 10 minutes in duration. Emergency appointments are 10 minutes in duration and the doctor will only have time to deal with the urgent problem and no other problems, unless they are connected.

Interpreter services are available for patients whose first language is not English. However, these do take a few days to arrange.

Interpreter services are also available over the telephone for appointments needed where there is no time to book an interpreter to attend. The service is provided by Pearl Linguistics.

Should patients be unable to attend an appointment where an interpreter is assisting them, please cancel with as much notice as possible, as if the interpreter attends and the patient does not, the NHS will still be charged for the interpreters time.
Please note, if you are having an intimate examination, a chaperone can be provided. All reception staff are trained chaperones. This service is available to both female and male patients.

Please ask a member of the reception team for details.
